For more than 40 years, Doug Heins State Farm has been proud to serve Spring Lake, MI, along with our neighbors in Grand Haven, Fruitport, and Ferrysburg. Helping individuals and families protect what matters most has been the foundation of my work, whether that means Auto Insurance for everyday driving, Home Insurance for where life happens, or Life Insurance and Health Insurance to support long‐term protection for what you love most. We also assist customers who are relocating to or from the area and want guidance from someone who truly knows the community.

Staying current in the insurance field has always been important to me. I’m an active member of the National Association of Insurance and hold CLU, LUTC, and ChFC professional designations. Our office has also been honored with the National Quality Award, and our strong customer retention reflects the care and consistency my team brings to serving our policyholders year after year.

Community involvement is a big part of who I am. I’m a local church member, past president of the North Ottawa County Council on Aging, past Rotary president, a Junior Achievement volunteer, and a Lilley Cares volunteer. I currently serve as a board member of The Little Red House and on the DDA for Spring Lake Village.

Beyond West Michigan, I’ve spent the past 20 years traveling to Honduras to support coffee farmers, an experience that has reinforced the value of showing up and making a meaningful difference.
